The Scope of a Medical Audit is to verify that charges on a hospital bill are accurate and that those charges represent the services rendered to the patient. A Medical Audit then verifies that those services were ordered by a physician and are base upon standard hospital practices and/or nursing protocols and procedures.

We provide a staff of experienced Nurse Auditors which includes: Registered Nurses, Legal Nurse Consultants and Certified Medical Audit Specialist (CMAS) with strong clinical and billing experience.

Our Nurse Auditors will review the complete medical record, which includes doctors orders, nurse’s notes and various department reports against the itemized bill to ensure that all ancillary services, surgical procedures, supplies and medications were ordered and delivered to the patient as charged.

Our Certified Coders provide perspective and retrospective chart audit to ensure accurate coding and DRG Validation. Our coders will review the medical records for accuracy and missing modifier and provide recommendations for compliance with federal/state and other regulatory entities.
